Information:

Ski transfers Geneva to Chatel information desks are located in the Arrivals area of Terminal 1.  There are two terminals in Geneva airport. If you are arriving on a chartered airline like Jet 2 for example, there is a possibility you may arrive in Terminal 2. If you can find this out before you land and let us know, this will be greatly appreciated. It is a 10-15 mins walk between each terminal. Likewise, if departing from Terminal 2, we can drop you directly there.

Orientation:

Location:

Geneva airport is located 4km (2.5 miles) northwest of Geneva city centre. It will take approximately 90 mins to get to or from Chatel, La Chapelle or Abondance in good traffic and no delays. We do not use the motorway northbound around Lake Geneva as the law does not permit us to. We therefore travel through Geneva and southbound around Lake Geneva in the direction of Evian before turning right up the mountain road. Be aware, if your flight arrives early evening, this can mean a journey time of around 3 hours during rush hour timings. During the first two weeks of March each year, the biggest Car Show is hosted in the Palexpo, adjacent to Geneva airport. This is also can mean major delays and longer journeys.

Facilities:

There are cash machines in the airport but remember Chatel and the villages in the Abondance valley are in France, so it is Euro’s you require and not Swiss Francs.

Eating and drinking:

There is a range of bars, cafés and restaurants, the best selection being on the middle floor if departing just before you go through security. When arriving at Geneva airport, in the arrivals hall food and drink is available. There is no eating or drinking fizzy drinks in the vehicles please.

There are a few shops to pick up anything you may have forgotten but maybe best to wait until you get to resort.
