La Chapelle also caters for the nordic cross country skiing and even has a Biathlon stand for you to try your shooting skills. A wealth of snow shoeing trails in the area as well. From La Chapelle d Abondance, there are excellent views up to Chatel and seeing the big peaks of the Dent de Midi. Buses run regular to and from Chatel during the day.
